Get ready to experience the thrill of the rodeo like never before! The Tangier Shrine is thrilled to announce a brand-new rodeo coming to the Omaha area in May. Sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) the rodeo will be held at the Sarpy County Fairgrounds in Springfield, Neb. on Friday, May 10, and Saturday, May 11, with shows nightly at 7:00 P.M. This exciting new attraction will showcase the best in rodeo talent, thrilling crowds with high-energy performances and heart-pounding action.

The rodeo will feature a variety of events, including bull riding, bareback bronc riding, calf roping, and more. But what sets this rodeo apart will be the incredible specialty acts performed by the Tangier clowns and the Keystone Kops. These entertainers will keep the crowd laughing and cheering with their hilarious antics and slapstick humor.

One of the main attractions will be the world-famous trick roper Rider Kiesner and his wife, Bethany. The Kiesners will perform breathtaking trick riding demonstrations that combine skill, precision, and showmanship. The Kiesner’s are the 2020 PRCA Dress Act of the Year and will be a highlight of the event, showcasing the incredible athleticism and artistry of rodeo performance.

The rodeo stock contractor is Barnes PRCA Rodeo from Cherokee, Iowa. This past December in Las Vegas during the 2023 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo their bull won the 2nd go-round buckle when bull rider Jared Parsonage from Maple Creek, Saskatchewan rode him for 87.5 points.

Bryan Deming, Rodeo Chairman and the 2024 Potentate, has spent two years planning the inaugural rodeo that he hope becomes an annual tradition. The Shrine Pro Rodeo is being produced in partnership with Kirchmann Media Group by Greg McDonald and Gretchen Kirchmann.

"We're beyond excited to bring this top-tier PRCA rodeo to our home in the Omaha area," said Deming. " We've worked hard to put together an unforgettable rodeo experience that will entertain audiences of all ages. From the adrenaline-fueled action to the side-splitting antics of our clowns and the Kops, this rodeo is sure to be a highlight of the season. All of Tangier’s Nobles and their ladies will be an integral part of the rodeo’s success. And the best part? The Tangier Shrine PRCA Rodeo will help us support our mission of caring for the children of our community who can benefit from the unique and specialized care offered through the Shriners Children’s Healthcare Network."

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online at TangierProRodeo.com. All seats are reserved, with prices starting at $15 for early bird purchases and $20 at the gate. Don't miss your chance to be a part of this historic inaugural event. Those interested can sign up for their children for Mutton Bustin’ or adults can attend the special Cowboy Experience dinner with special seating.

    Thank you, heroes!

We couldn’t ensure hospital patients have another chance at life without you! Your donation will potentially help save the lives of three people you may never meet. The patients we serve, and their friends and family thank you.

Your blood drives made a HUGE difference:

Your blood drives on June 30th and July 2nd registered 65 donors and collected 63 pints of blood. This means last weeks blood drives will potentially save 189 lives over the coming week!

Grant Ticknor's right femur was shattered in a car crash early this spring, and it hasn’t healed properly since the initial injury, leaving him unable to bear weight. He has been unable to take part in typical activities such as mowing and driving.

A friend and fellow Shriner, Bob Duff, helped out by mowing his lawn every week. Then Duff presented Ticknor with a radio-controlled lawn mower so he could get back to tackling his own yardwork.

“Being Shriners, we’re there to help kids and to help one another," Duff said.
