Get ready to experience the thrill of the rodeo like never before! The Tangier Shrine is thrilled to announce a brand-new rodeo coming to the Omaha area in May. Sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) the rodeo will be held at the Sarpy County Fairgrounds in Springfield, Neb. on Friday, May 10, and Saturday, May 11, with shows nightly at 7:00 P.M. This exciting new attraction will showcase the best in rodeo talent, thrilling crowds with high-energy performances and heart-pounding action.
The rodeo will feature a variety of events, including bull riding, bareback bronc riding, calf roping, and more. But what sets this rodeo apart will be the incredible specialty acts performed by the Tangier clowns and the Keystone Kops. These entertainers will keep the crowd laughing and cheering with their hilarious antics and slapstick humor.
One of the main attractions will be the world-famous trick roper Rider Kiesner and his wife, Bethany. The Kiesners will perform breathtaking trick riding demonstrations that combine skill, precision, and showmanship. The Kiesner’s are the 2020 PRCA Dress Act of the Year and will be a highlight of the event, showcasing the incredible athleticism and artistry of rodeo performance.
The rodeo stock contractor is Barnes PRCA Rodeo from Cherokee, Iowa. This past December in Las Vegas during the 2023 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo their bull won the 2nd go-round buckle when bull rider Jared Parsonage from Maple Creek, Saskatchewan rode him for 87.5 points.
Bryan Deming, Rodeo Chairman and the 2024 Potentate, has spent two years planning the inaugural rodeo that he hope becomes an annual tradition. The Shrine Pro Rodeo is being produced in partnership with Kirchmann Media Group by Greg McDonald and Gretchen Kirchmann.
